3. Purpose of Data Collection
Somerstage will collect data in tandem with enrolment in the McMillan Theatre booking system and store this data for the following purposes:
- Communicating with parents/carers regarding classes, events, and updates.
- Managing enrolments and attendance.
- Using photographs and videos to promote the school on our website, social media platforms, and promotional materials (only with parental consent).
-Maintaining records for safeguarding and health and safety purposes.
4. Data Processing and Storage
- All personal data is stored securely in electronic and physical formats, with access limited to authorised personnel.
- We ensure that all data is processed lawfully, fairly, and in a transparent manner, and is only used for the purposes outlined above.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share personal data with any unrelated third parties without explicit consent, unless legally required to do so (e.g., for safeguarding purposes).
Data will however be collected by The McMillan Theatre via Somerstage enrolment and the online booking system. This falls under The Bridgwater and Taunton College GDPR policy which is multilayered and robust due to the nature and size of the organisation. Bridgwater & Taunton College are committed to protecting the privacy of anyone whose personal data is held in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)

We will retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. After this period, all personal data will be securely deleted or anonymised.
7. Parental Consent
Photographs and videos of students will only be used for promotional purposes by Somerstage Musical Theatre School if explicit parental consent has been provided. Parents/carers have the right to withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at somerstage@gmail.com.

Individuals (or their parents/carers) have the right to:
